Come join us to Naturum, Stora Sjöfallet!

Are you a new resident in Gällivare municipality, guest worker or just curious to meet more residents? Join us and celebrate Naturum Laponia 10 years, on June 26.

Naturum Laponia, in Stora Sjöfallet, has its 10th anniversary and our move-in service are visiting. Join us and celebrate! The day offers, among other things, a short film, a lecture, an author talk and a vernissage. Naturum offers swedish ”sandwich-cake”, coffee and cookies.

When: Wednesday 26 June at 11:45 – 18:45 (the bus arrive in Gällivare around 20:00)
Where: Naturum Laponia, Stora Sjöfallet 982 99 Gällivare
The bus departure at 11:45 from Gällivare C/Trevel Center, Centralplan 4 98236 Gällivare. The bus will leave from Naturum back home, at 18:45

No registration: It is first come, first served to fill the buses; it’s not possible to pre-book your place! Therefore, be in good time at Gällivare C/Travel Center

Welcome to Afternoon Tea

Are you a new resident in Gällivare or just curious to meet more residents? Welcome to Afternoon Tea at the Train Station on 2th of June.

We offer Swedish ”fika”, mingle and you will meet our guest Wesley Overklift, who moved from the Netherlands to Gällivare.
The activity is free of charge.

Aktivitet den 10 september/Activity on 10th of September

Welcome new residents of Gällivare to join us on a guided tour of Gällivare by bus and an afternoon at the informationcenter RE-form with the photographer Serkan Günes.

Programme:
3-4.30 pm Guided tour by bus with Karin Niva. The bus leaves from the railway station.
4.30 pm Mingling, storytelling and photo exhibition with the photographer Serkan Günes at the informationcenter RE-form in Norrskensgallerian.
5 pm The storytelling and the photo exhibition begins. The exhibition is free of charge and does not require registration in advance.

The activity is free of charge and you will be given a ”new in Gällivare goodie bag” before you leave.

2.30-4 pm Kayaking with Håkan Östlund and coffee over an open fire.
2.30 pm Particpants from previous organized activities are welcome to join for this part.
Bus leaves from the railway station. In case of bad weather, we will not paddle.

Activities for new residents

On Sunday, March 19th, Gällivare kommun organizes a winter activity for new residents. Regardless of whether you are returning home or if you have become a resident in Gällivare for the first time, you are welcome to join!

Join us on a guided tour of Gällivare by bus. After the tour, those who want to, are welcome to come to Dundret and Fjällstugan for music, mingle and storytelling. Particpants from previous organized activities are welcome to join for this part.

Sunday, March 19th. Guided tour by bus at 12.00–1.30 pm. Dundret approx. 2–4 pm.
